Our Philosophy

You can’t change the winds, but you can always adjust your sails.

A Message From Our Founder

A Prayer Before To Begin

O Lord Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of the eternal Father, Thou hast said, “Without me you can do nothing.” In faith I embrace Thy words, O Lord, and bow before Thy goodness. Help me to complete the work I am about to begin for Thine own glory: in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

As a daughter of Romanian immigrant parents, I’ve seen how dramatically a successful small business can change lives, in my case, extending to our community. In order to build a better life, both in Canada and the USA, my parents constantly remind me that achievement is fostered through two things.

The first, proper prioritization, beginning with God, family, and community. The second is adaptability. My mother loves to tell the story of my grandfather. He was a marine and passionate sailor, despite often getting horribly seasick.

To adapt, he would lie down on the boat, calculate the trajectory, and instruct his partner on how to adjust the sails based on the wind. In this way, they would win championships. Hence, my personal philosophy:

“You can’t change the winds, but you can always adjust your sails.” Sailboats also inspire me to have the heart of an explorer, to remain continuously curious, and seek out adventures that help you grow.

Sailboats, which depend on uncontrollable winds to get to your destination, remind me that where there's a will, there's a way. Thus, as a tribute to my family’s story, our mission is to facilitate growth for small and medium-sized businesses, so they can go on to impact the lives of our community for the better.
